  11. The X.25/9000  Link product  for the  HP9000 Series 300/400,
  12. 700 and  800 provides  a network  connection on  the  HP9000
  13. Series 300/400,  700 or  800  to  private  and  public  X.25
  14. networks.     This  product   conforms  to  the  1984  CCITT
  15. recommendations.
  16.  
  17. This product  allows HP9000-to-HP9000 communications as well
  18. as  HP9000  to  other  systems  (HP  or  non-HP)  over  X.25
  19. networks, through the use of ARPA services, Unix - to - Unix
  20. Copy (UUCP), OSI and  SNA  over QLLC . ( SNAplusLink is only
  21. available on Hp9000 s/700 and s/800).

  23. Remote display  terminals are supported by implementation of
  24. host PAD  capability (CCITT  recommendation X.3 and X.29) on
  25. the X.25/9000  Link product.   Host PAD emulation and remote
  26. PAD printer is also supported by the X.25/9000 Link product.

  28. NFT, HP's  Networking  Services  product  is  supported  for
  29. communications between  HP9000s  or    between  HP9000s  and
  30. HP3000s, (MPE/V  and MPE/XL).   In  addition, the  X.25/9000
  31. Link product  provides programmatic access (through Berkeley
  32. sockets) to  X.25 packet layer 3 and via TCP provides access
  33. to HP's  NetIPC.  This allows customers to develop their own
  34. protocol and  services for  communications with remote HP or
  35. non-HP systems over an X.25 network.

  37. The X.25/9000 Link product supports OSI services environment
  38. when implemented  with the  OTS/9000 product.  The X.400/800
  39. product allows  customers to  exchange electronic mail using
  40. the X.400  protocols over  the X.25/9000  Link  (Series  800
  41. only).

  242. The customer  is responsible  for the  installation  of  the
  243. X.25/9000 Link product.

  245. Before installing  X.25/9000, the  customer  should  obtain,
  246. install  and   verify   the   correct   operation   of   any
  247. communication  line,   X.25  network  access  or  any  other
  248. equipment and  facilities  necessary  to  interface  to  the
  249. X.25/9000 Link product.

  251. Hewlett-Packard is  only liable for the correct execution of
  252. the product  self-tests.   All other  hardware and  software
  253. connections to  the communication line, the X.25 network and
  254. non-HP computers are the customer's responsibility.
